As energy costs continue to increase more and more emphasis is placed on increasing energy efficiency by facility ownership and operations. Chemical reactions in cooling water cause soluble calcium to form scale on heat exchange surfaces, and thereby reducing the ability of systems to perform efficiently. The VRTX chemical free approach to energy efficiency is simple. The kinetic energy within the VRTX treatment chamber breaks bonds of dissolved minerals in water, which in turn precipitates calcium out of solution for filtering and disposal.
